So how to get started fast.

In Discovery, we start by aligning with clients' strategic objectives and shaping killer business questions that drive value and innovation.

From there, we design solutions and initiatives that address these questions, leveraging data and AI to uncover insights and drive change.

Finally, we deliver tangible results that deliver measurable impact and create better futures for our clients and their stakeholders.

In Discovery, we explore a series of proven steps that get results, we are sharing a few of these here as tips to drive value, fast.

1. Imagine the Perfect Future:

We start off imaging the perfect future, the one where all of your plans go perfectly, and you achieve your results... close your eyes and imagine this world one year in.

How would you describe it over a coffee chat, what would you say are your biggest achievements, your results, your measurable value. How does that feel, what are people saying about it, why does it feel great.

Describe your biggest achievements, measurable value, and the impact you've made. This exercise sets the stage for identifying your key objectives and desired outcomes.

2. Envision it, but with an Even Better Future:

Now imagine an even better version of that, picture it in your mind, turn up the colours, the volume, the size.... make it not just great, but an even better version of your ideal.

What are your competitors, customers, colleagues saying about it and why? What is the overriding outcome you have achieved.

Push the boundaries of your imagination and picture an even better version of your ideal future. Amplify the colours, volume, and size of your vision, and visualise the impact you've made on your competitors, customers, and colleagues.

3. Formulate Action-Oriented Business Questions:

Now turn that outcome and vision into a business question you need to answer and articulate to achieve your dream out. It can be big and scary for now as we will break it down.

Turn your vision into actionable business questions that drive value and results. Start with "How do we..." to frame questions that inspire action and focus on achieving clear outcomes.

But it needs to be clear, action orientated, value driven and show a clear path to value.

“How do we…” questions are framed to drive action.

For example:

How do we add 1 million new and profitable consumers to our business, whilst offering them value for money, a unique offer and excite them to engage more, leading to a 3% increase in revenue and 5% increase in profit?

4. Turn the scare into share:

You realise that one year out isn’t long and that's a big question. But don't worry, we get practical, breaking that down into bite sized questions and timescales.

What do you need to achieve and what question do you need to ask this month, next month... and so on, until your 12 months are up, and you have achieved your over-arching question.

Break Down Complex Questions into Bite-sized Tasks that can be shared and managed - bite-sized tasks and milestones.

We use these to create a roadmap that outlines the steps needed to achieve your overarching goals, and prioritise tasks based on their importance and feasibility.

5. Prioritise and look for opportunities to Accelerate:

You now have a bunch of questions, it's time to see if any are more important that the others, the prioritisation and seeing what data and capabilities you have to answer these questions is key.

We have some templates, tools and techniques to accelerate this too, but you can generate your own as it is about prioritising to what you are capable of today.
